Meet Buttons – The Animatronic Cadbury Cow

When Cadbury found that a third of children couldn’t identify that milk came from cows, and one in eight London city children are unaware that cows moo, they created Buttons – and brought him to London!

We provided the moosic for the heartwarming spot. 🐄

Inspired By ADCAN

Following attending the ADCAN Awards 2017 Filmmaker & Animator Party – we have been inspired to help upcoming Filmmakers and Animators, and the ADCAN selected charities, by offering composed music to selected entrants in the 2017 ADCAN Competition. We will offer 6 filmmakers/animators, chosen by our team, access to a Mcasso composer and producer to give them the opportunity to collaborate on their entry.

We’ll then invite you to Mcasso’s Sound Studios in Carnaby Street for an initial production meeting (or we can arrange a video call if you are based outside of the UK). Then, once you are happy with the completed piece of music – we’ll invite you back, where one of our in-house sound engineers will be on hand to create the final mix for you.

Spaces are limited, so if you would like to be considered – please email before 9am (UK Time) Wednesday 19th July with a brief description of your film (or the film itself if possible) along with a paragraph stating how your film could benefit from composed music.

Find out more details here, we hope to hear from you soon!

Gold For Heathrow at the Creative Circle Awards!

Our Music Supervision aficionados at Curved Arrow set upon the Roundhouse last night for the Creative Circle Awards, in celebration of excellence across the advertising industry over the last year.

We were delighted to see the Heathrow Christmas spot scoop a whopping 4 awards – one of which was Gold for ‘Best Use Of Music’ – a campaign Curved Arrow were recruited as Music Supervisors for – where they suggested, negotiated and licensed Chas & Dave’s ‘I’m Going Back’.

Welcome To Safari Mcasso

We created an animal-themed playlist for Radio LBB, exploring people’s fascination with the natural world. Full of tracks, drawing inspiration from the sounds and rhythms of all different types of animals, including effervescing elephants and, terrifyingly, a halfsharkalligatorhalfman!

Enjoy, and please keep all hands and legs inside the vehicle!

Let It Shine!

BBC One’s new prime time Saturday night TV show, ‘Let It Shine’, starting tomorrow evening at 7pm will feature our specially composed opening and closing theme, and incidental music, written by Mcasso composer Richard Atkinson.

The 8 part series is hosted by Graham Norton and Mel Giedroyc, with Gary Barlow at the helm as he casts the net to find a boy band to perform in a brand new stage musical, which features the music of Take That.

We were asked to present a contemporary theme for the show in a pitch against many of the UK’s top TV composers, and Richard was successful after Gary Barlow’s approval.

Hear our theme on BBC One tomorrow at 7pm, or on our Let It Shine Page.

Introducing a Family of Festive Funky Pigeons

Working with MullenLowe and Aardman, we adapted well known Christmas tracks for Funky Pigeon’s Christmas campaign.

Will Mellor and the rest of the pigeon family flew into the Mcasso studios so we could record their coo-ing, and we additionally provided audio post for the campaign. Look out for more in the new year!
